About

I usually am an avid researcher; I have a B.A. in Sociology from Miami University of Ohio.

Gilberto Gil and Caetano VelosoMy interests include Brazilian music, especially that of Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso, and I love samba. I also enjoy learning languages, particularly (at this time) Portuguese and Japanese, although I’m hardly fluent or even conversationally proficient in either.

I am less an artist and more an unqualified art critic. I casually follow Yoshitaka Amano’s career as well as the occasional comic book artist’s. I read Neil Gaiman’s blog and sometimes his books, when they’re published, and in fact don’t read as much as I ought. People get angry at me for not wanting to watch movies, but I am very happy The Prisoner of Zenda was released on DVD after many years of waiting.

I study sociology, philosophy, psychology, exercise and nutrition, and pop culture to varying degrees and have co-authored several research manuscripts.
